This year for Mother’s Day we thought it would be fun to take out the old photo album and share some photos of our moms!
This is my mom, Nancy. What a beauty! She loved her disco! When my dad would head off to work she’d break out her disco records and dance all around the house. She was obsessed with the song, "Coppa Cabana" by Barry Manilow. There was a time when she just couldn’t get enough of that record! I remember thinking then (as I do now) that she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. I love you, Mom! You are my Disco Queen!
This is Hal’s mom, Beth. She raised nine kids in Hawaii. Yep, that’s right, nine kids. Beth drove all nine of those kids around Hawaii in lime green Volkswagen Van. Hal remembers that every kid had an assigned seat. Hal’s seat was standing up behind the front passenger seat! I think that's hilarious! Car seat? Who needs one? Beth, you are a saint and make raising kids look like no big deal. I don’t know how you did it, but you are truly amazing.
I wonder what our little Arlo will remember when she grows up? Will she remember my silly dance moves? Or my banana pancakes? Or the time we rode the carousel a million times in a row? Who knows? I just hope she remembers how much we loved her.
Happy Mother’s Day!
